God and Science: Local Church Seminar Idea

Bill Peck, a Sunday school teacher and member of Oak Grove UMC, has developed a seminar that several churches have found interesting and highly successful. Called "God and Science," the workshop is a guided presentation and discussion of how scientific discoveries may be reconciled with the Genesis account of beginnings. Women are invited to a retreat in Ellijay June 27-29 called "Conversations With Julian of Norwich about God's Extravagant Love." The retreat will be led by Roberta Bondi, professor at Candler School of Theology, and Sharon Watkins, pastor of Tucker First UMC. The brochure for the event explains that Julian of Norwich lived from 1342 to 1416.
